WESTBOROUGH- Lorelei E. "Lee" (Waite) Parker, 81, of Westborough, died on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Walter N. Parker.
Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Zelma (Bridgford) Small. She was educated in Lowell schools and graduated from Westbrook Junior College in Westbrook, Maine.
Mrs. Parker was employed in the Westborough School System as a teacher's assistant prior to her retirement. Lee loved working with children and, after retiring, visited the schools often as a "reading grandmother".
Lee was an active member of the Evangelical Congregational Church and belonged to the church choir and the Women's Fellowship for many years. She was also a former member of the Players Club, Westborough Community Chorus and the Piccadilly Pub Club.
She is survived by her two children, Scott N. Parker and his wife, Carol of Westborough and Allison G. Eldridge-Wiswell and her husband, Daniel of Westborough; four grandchildren, Jonathan Eldridge, Elizabeth Eldridge, Lauren Eldridge and Anthony Tieuli, III and one great grandson, Max Anthony Tieuli.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 22, at 10:00 A.M. in the Evangelical Congregational Church, West Main St., Westborough.
Calling hours at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., are Thursday, January 21, from 5 to 7 P.M.
