WESTBOROUGH- Mildred G. Coyne, 80, of Shrewsbury, formerly of Westborough, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at home. She was the wife of the late James E. Coyne, Jr.
Born in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Pearl (Mayou) Labossiere. She was educated in Springfield schools and earned an associates degree at Quinsigamond Community College.
Mrs. Coyne was a homemaker dedicated to her home and family. She was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church, where she sang in the choir and was a member of the church's "Martha's and Mary's". She also sang with the Westborough Community Chorus, volunteered for the Westborough Food Pantry, was active with the Westborough and Shrewsbury Seniors and was a supporter of the Notre Dame Club of Worcester.
Mildred is survived by two daughters, Nancy Coyne of Falmouth, Maine and Mary Coyne of Westborough and five grandchildren, Caitlin, Robert, James, Darby and Nancy Cooper all of Maine.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 21, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in St. Luke's Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, June 20, from 2 to 5 P.M. at the Britton-Summers Funeral Home, 4 Church St., Westborough.
