WESTBOROUGH- Barbara Mae (Lambertine) Shaw, 73, passed away peacefully Friday, December 4, 2009 at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home on Coes Pond in Worcester with her family surrounding her after a long battle with Breast Cancer. Born in Brooklyn, NY to Joseph Lambertine and Ruth (Brandi) Lambertine.
Barbara was the beloved wife of Raymond Shaw for 51 years.
Barbara was an accomplished artist, who graduated from Parson's School of Design in New York City. She was best known for her magnificent stained glass panels and sculptures, which were commissioned and sold throughout New Jersey and the New England states.
Barbara enjoyed sharing time with her soul mate, Ray, her family and friends at their cottage on a lake in Maine. She loved fishing, painting, kayaking, cooking, and creating beautiful gifts for her loved ones.
All will miss her laughter, warmth and shining smile; the love, courage and strength that Barbara showed us will forever be etched in hearts.
She will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Raymond and she was the loving mother of Kenneth J. Shaw, Jacqueline (Shaw) Herd and her husband Mark, Stephen Shaw and his wife Carrie, and Grandmother to Joshua Shaw, Joseph Shaw, Angela Shaw, John Shaw, Kyle Shaw, Nicholas Herd, Maegan Herd and Mikayla Shaw. She also leaves her sister, Joan V. Foster of Kinnelon, New Jersey
Barbara was a devout Catholic and member of St. Luke's Church, Westborough.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Dec 9, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Interment will be private.
Calling hours at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Tuesday, December 8, from 5 to 8 P.M.
