BENJAMIN R. HOYT


Benjamin R. Hoyt, 87, of Westborough, died on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at the UMass Memorial Healthcare- University Campus in Worcester. He was the husband of Mary Ethel (Corcoran) Hoyt.

Born in Cambridge he was the son of the late Benjamin and Elizabeth (McElroy) Hoyt and was educated in Lake George, New Brunswick schools.

Mr. Hoyt was employed as a final line inspector for General Motors in Framingham prior to his retirement.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a former Little League Baseball Coach and a former member of the Masonic Lodge in Marlborough. He was also an avid local sports fan and supporter.

In addition to his wife he is survived by one son, Robert F. Hoyt and his wife, Carol, of Westborough; two daughters, Margaret H. Anderson and her husband, Craig, of Westborough and Elizabeth A. Euloth and her fiancé, Russ Chute, of Grafton; three brothers, Clarence Hoyt of British Columbia, Wellesley Hoyt of New Brunswick and Alton Hoyt of New Brunswick; one sister, Ruth Coakley of New Brunswick and seven grandchildren, Julie Euloth, Mark Anderson, Ryan Euloth, Kayle Euloth, Laura Anderson, Colleen Hoyt and Meaghan Hoyt.

His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 3, at 10:00 A.M. in the First United Methodist Church, 120 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.

Calling hours at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Tuesday, September 2, from 5 to 8 P.M.
