DOROTHY A. HACKETT

Dorothy A. Hackett, 81, of Westborough, died unexpectedly on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at home. She was the wife of the late Paul N. Hackett who died on January 3, 2008.

Born in Northbridge, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Olive (Gervais) LaLiberty and was educated in Northbridge schools.

Mrs. Hackett was employed as a baker for the Westborough School System prior to her retirement.

She was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church, was a member of the church's 'Martha's and Mary's' and has been a resident of Westborough for 50 years.

Dorothy is survived by her seven children, Judith Plouffe of Hopedale, Leonard Hackett of Worcester, Donna Murray of Westborough, Christine Hackett of Westborough, Kenneth Hackett of Forney, TX, James Hackett of Westborough and William Hackett of Ocracoke, NC. She is also survived by seven grandchildren.

She was the mother of the late Steven Hackett and Dennis Hackett.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 11, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in St. Luke's Cemetery.

Calling hours at the Britton-Summers Funeral Home, 4 Church St., Westborough, are Wednesday, September 10, from 4 to 7 P.M.
