James Patrick Connors

WESTBOROUGH- James Patrick “Jim” Connors, 56, of Portland, Maine, formerly of Westborough, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the Maine Medical Center in Portland after a brief illness.

Born in Marlborough, MA, he was the son of the late Mark and Barbara (Mitchell) Connors. He was raised and educated in Westborough and was a 1978 graduate of Westborough High School. Jim also graduated in 1982 from Boston College with a degree in Germanic Studies, and in 2002 from the University of Maine with a degree in Nursing.

Jim was currently working at Anthem, Inc. in Nurse Medical Management.

He loved his dogs and volunteered many hours at animal shelters.

Jim is survived by three sisters, Jane Labbe of New Bedford, Sarah Connors of Westborough and Mary Whamond-Fortier of Westborough; his nieces and nephews, Monica Davis, Meredith Kozlek, Andrew Whamond, Connor Whamond and Emily Whamond; his grand-nephew, Jackson Davis; one aunt, Virginia Mitchell and many cousins.

He was the brother of the late Mark Connors, Jr.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 23, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery.

Calling hours at the David A. Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Monday, August 22, from 4 to 7 P.M.
