Prof. Meldon was one of the few people in the department who made being a Chemical Engineer truly fun and amazing. His intelligence was astounding; for me, his kindness, generosity, humility, and love for humanity is what made him stand out as a spectacular human being.

I had Jerry as a professor for both undergraduate and graduate studies. He was my Master's Thesis advisor in the early 1990s. I am deeply saddened to hear of his sudden passing. He was truly a wonderful person and I am fortunate that our lives crossed paths. My sincere condolences to all his family.
