Joan E. Banks

Joan E. Banks, 66, of Westborough, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at home.

Born in Hudson, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Everlenna (Sims) Roche. She was raised in Westborough and was educated in Westborough schools.

Joan worked as a CNA at Kindred Healthcare Center (former Westborough Healthcare) for 25 years retiring due to illness. She loved being with her family, trips to the Cape and Pringles.

Joan is survived by one daughter, Amy D. Kowalik and her husband, Douglas, of Westborough; two sisters, Linda Bertrand and her husband, Robert, of Westborough and Eileen Heyn of N. Grafton; two grandchildren, Stephen Banks and his partner, Heather Newton, of Westborough and Elizabeth Kowalik and her partner, Dana Turieo, of Natick; one grandson, Christopher Banks-Newton and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was the sister-in-law of the late Fredrick Heyn.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the David A. Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, on Friday, May 5, from 5 to 7 P.M.

Burial in St. Luke’s Cemetery will be private.
