Marilyn B. Thornton

Marilyn B. Thornton, 81, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Martin J. Thornton.

Born in Brighton, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Etta (Lima) Beatty. She was educated in Brighton schools and received an Accounting Certificate from Bentley College.

Marilyn was employed as a bookkeeper for Shawmut Bank prior to her retirement and was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church in Westborough.

She is survived by one brother Peter Beatty and his wife, Claire, of Holbrook and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 7, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery.

A calling hour will precede the funeral from 9 to 10 A.M. at the David A. Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough.
