Ronald D. Brady

Ronald D. Brady, 71, of Westborough, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Linda M. (Boyden) Brady.

Born in Worcester, a lifelong resident of Westborough, he was the son of the late Henry and Nadine (Statzell) Brady, and predeceased by his brother Richard Brady also of Westborough, and was educated in Westborough schools.

Ron was a member of the Westborough Police Department for 34 years retiring in 2001 with the rank of Sergeant. Following his retirement he became a reserve officer until illness forced him to retire in 2016.

He enjoyed camping, especially at Disney World with his wife and family, and spent many hours entertaining his family and friends with his stories.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two children, Ronald D. “Chip” Brady, of N. Grosvenordale, CT and Shariann Brady Ewing and her husband, Andrew, of Westborough; one brother, Dennis Brady of Westborough; five grandchildren, Justin Brady, Meagan Brady, Jessica Montgomery, Mallory Brady and Rebecca Barnard.

A Celebration of Life in Ron’s memory will be held on Friday, February 9, from 5:30 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 17 Willow St., Westborough.
