Stella M. Morin

February 23, 1936 ~ March 11, 2017 (age 81) 81 Years Old


Stella M. Morin, 81, of Westborough, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester after a brief illness.

Born in Caribou, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Josephine (Martin) Michaud. She was educated in Caribou schools and was a graduate of the University of Maine at Fort Kent with a Bachelor of Science in Education.

Stella taught at Madawaska High School for 37 years prior to her retirement.  She loved teaching and felt privileged to touch the lives of many students.   She enjoyed Literature and Shakespeare, coached women’s high school basketball and was a member of the Lion’s Club.  In the summers, she resided at her cottage on Long Lake in Maine where she enjoyed playing golf and sharing memories with her family and friends.   In recent years, she enjoyed playing cards, reading, puzzles and group activities at Beaumont Nursing Home in Westborough.

She is survived by her three children, Sharon C. Martin of Edmundston, N.B., Canada, Donald P. Morin of Truro and Donna Hagens of Westborough; one beloved brother, Roland Michaud of Wolcott, CT; four grandchildren, Erin, Lindsey, Patrick and Corey and one great-granddaughter, Phoebe.  She has many relatives, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends residing throughout New England and Canada.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 1, at 10:00 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
