Florence (Sullivan) Gazzaniga, formerly of Granite Bay, CA, The Sea Ranch, CA and Cambridge, MA died quietly at the Notre Dame Extended Health Center in Worcester, MA on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the age of 82. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Gazzaniga, M.D., a retired physician of Kaiser Permante in Roseville, CA. She was married for 52 years.
Florence is survived by her sister, Ann MacDonald of Upton, MA, her brothers-in-law, John LeFort of Lynnfield, MA, Robert Gardner of Braintree, MA, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was the loving daughter of the late Katherine and John Sullivan of Cambridge, MA. Her pre deceased sisters and brothers are, Katherine Connerty of Quincy, MA, Helen Sullivan of Cambridge, MA, Alyce LeFort of Lynnfield, MA, John Sullivan of Cambridge, MA, Irene Bagley of Framingham, MA and Pauline Gardner of Braintree, MA.
A graduate of Carney Hospital School of Nursing, Florence was a registered nurse for many years. She later was a leading realtor for Coldwell Banker in Sacramento, CA. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and interior decorating.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 23, at 10:00 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough.
