Katherine Reamer Hendrickson of Westborough MA, died August 30, 2008 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was 88.
Her husband of 58 years, Robert L Hendrickson, predeceased her. She is survived by her sister, Ruth Irwin and her husband of Columbus OH, her children, Richard W. and Wendy T. Hendrickson of Plum Island MA, Peter J. and Shannon Hendrickson of West Boxford MA, Joan & John Truesdell of Westborough MA, and Sue Ellen & John Lantelme of Ledyard CT, as well as 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 5 nieces and nephews. She was graduated from Douglass College at Rutgers University in 1941, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics. She practiced as a nutritionist and home economics teacher in New York schools. She maintained her sharp sense of humor, always looking for a laugh. It was a quality that time and disease could not take away from her. She was happiest entertaining in her home, everyone from GE executives and international guests to friends and neighbors. She enjoyed travels throughout the world with her husband, quilting, and antiquing. A volunteer in several organizations, including the local AFS, PTAs, and PEO, she also taught Sunday school and was an active member in the First Reformed Church in Scotia, led both Girl and Boy Scout troops, and volunteered in the hospital gift shop. She was a member of the Evangelical Congregational Church in Westborough. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Evangelical Congregation Church Memorial Fund.
