Mary P. Konopka, 67, of Westborough, formerly of Seaford, NY, died on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at the UMass Memorial Healthcare- Memorial Hospital, Worcester. She was the wife of the late Stanley R. Konopka.
Born in Queens, NY, she was the daughter of the late James and Catherine (Hans) Flynn and was educated in Brooklyn, NY. Mrs. Konopka was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling. She is survived by her two daughters, Christina M. Venditti and her husband, Anthony, of Westborough, Cassandra M. Fiore and her husband, Michael, of E. Granby, CT; one sister, Elizabeth A. Picard and her husband, Roger, of Woodstock, GA; seven grandchildren, Joseph Venditti, Ryan Venditti, Jackson Venditti, Jillian Venditti, Zachary Fiore, Dillon Fiore and Roxanne Venditti. Calling hours will be held at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, on Saturday, September 13, from 2 to 5 P.M. Calling hours also will be on Monday, September 15, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Charles G. Schmitt Funeral Home, 3863 Merrick Rd., Seaford, NY. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 16, at 10:00 A.M. in St. William the Abbott Church, 2000 Jackson Ave., Seaford, NY. Interment will follow in Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, NY.
