Dear Thatcher family,
I'm saddened to learn of the passing of your dad, my teacher of five years at Nipmuc and friend of many more years of adult life through our association with the MCC and MTG. We shared many good times together, one of the most recent being with the NEACCA combined chorus (I'm happy to be seen sharing the stage with him in the picture). He was always the quintessential teacher and I could be assured of learning something every time I sang under his direction. Beyond that, as I think about the important part music has played and continues to play in my life, I have so much to thank Don for his influence. I have no doubt that his afterlife will be filled with music and teaching. I regret that my being away for the next few weeks prevents me from being able to pay my respects personally, but please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
