Louise A. Cote

Louise A. (Orlando) Cote, 92, a lifelong Westborough resident, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Westborough.  She is the beloved wife of 69 years to Adelard A. Cote.

Born and raised in Westborough, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Antoinette (Antonio) Orlando.  She attended Westborough Schools and was a cafeteria manager for the Westborough School System for many years before her retirement. 

Mrs. Cote was a very active member of the Women of St. Luke’s and the St. Luke’s Senior Adults in which she organized and attended many events.  She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, going to the casino, and crocheting. She will always be remembered for her fun-loving laugh and smile.  Louise was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a generous friend to all. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two children, Janice A. Laptewicz and her husband, Robert, of Westborough and Dennis A. Cote and his wife, Cynthia, of Sutton; her five grandchildren, Robert Laptewicz, Jr., Peter Laptewicz, Sarah Cote, Melissa Cote and Michael Cote; her great-granddaughter, Emma Laptewicz; and her siblings, Joseph Orlando, Constance Malhoit, Jean Orlando, Ann Marie Brown, all of Westborough, and Antoinette Weeden of Florida.

She is predeceased by her four brothers, Camillo “Cam” Orlando, Leo Orlando, Louis Orlando and Michael Orlando; and her three sisters, Angelina Orlando, Rose Orlando, and Mary Orlando.

Her funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 16, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery.

Per Louise’s request, calling hours will be held privately.
