Raymond V. Spring

WESTBOROUGH- Raymond V. Spring, 70, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the Notre Dame Health Care Center in Worcester. He was the husband of the late Kathryn H. (Buonagurio) Spring.

Born in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Raymond and Violet (Voss) Spring. He was raised and educated in Wheaton, MD and was a graduate of the University of Maryland where he earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree.

Raymond was first employed as a statistician for the Census Bureau and then worked for many years at Natick Labs retiring in 2008 with over 30 years of service in the federal government.

He was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Raymond is survived by three sons, R. Paul Spring of Worcester, Ryan C. Spring and his wife, Doerte, of Dresden, Germany and Justin B. Spring and his wife, Christina, of Fairfax, VA; two sisters, Diana Jenson and her husband, Cliff, of Cranfills Gap, TX and Robin Spring of Oakland, CA and five grandchildren, Savannah, Preston, Scarlet, Kathryn and Connor Spring.

His funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 5, at 10:00 A.M. in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 183 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery.

Calling hours at the David A. Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Wednesday, October 4, from 4 to 7 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org)
