Nita,

I doubt you would remember me but I worked at Weston Geophysical in 1986 and knew you and Dick then.  You used to make lovely cards with pressed flowers.  Dick was such a wonderful person to work for, so sweet and so appreciative of us.  He loved you so very much... he would share some stories of life with Nita.  I am so sorry to have learned of his passing, and want you to know that in spite of all the years that have passed, I have never forgotten either one of you.  God bless you and your family, Nita.  Wendy Perez f/k/a Pullen

It has been my great pleasure to work with Dick and Nita on their investments for well over 30 years. Some clients become friends and this friend will be missed. I will especially miss his intellect and insite. Very few men have had the life experinces he has had. For myself and our group please accept our condolence for the loss of a very special man.

My memory of Mr. Holt is that of a content and distinguished man.  Sitting under a lamp in the comfort of a big chair, reading...always reading something, at his home in Westboro.  He would look up from his book over the tops of his glasses at Mathew and I, both 17, and would inevitably start with, "Now, Mathew..."
Matt and I knew the ending to that sermon verbatim as we heard it most Saturday nights.
It is with fond memories that I know Mrs. Holt, Peter, Mathew and Christopher will fill their thoughts with and it is through faith that I know they will find their strength.

I would like to express my condolences to the family. This was a very special man.

Dick, ("Uncle Dickie" as I have always thought of him) was an inspiration to me from very early childhood. He always answered ALL of my thousands of questions on science and nature. His patience with me (a little child underfoot) and his clear, thoughtful explanations conveyed the excitement he had for Geophysics. He is the reason that I went into the field so many years later. "Uncle Dickie" you DID change my life and likely many more. God Bless!    Becky
