Virginia M. Cove

WESTBOROUGH- Virginia M. “Ginny” Cove, 86, of Westborough, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late William R. Cove, Sr.

Born in Westborough, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Anna (Kelleher) McDonald. She was educated in Westborough schools and was a graduate of Worcester State College.

Ginny was a third grade teacher at Fales Elementary School for many years retiring in 1983.

She was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church, was a member of the St. Luke’s Senior Adults and the Martha’s and Mary’s. She was also a member of the Westborough Women’s Club, volunteered at the Westborough Food Pantry and served as a poll worker during elections.

Ginny leaves her four children, Mary Beth Higgins and her husband, William, Paul F. Cove and his close companion, Barbara, John P. Cove and William R. Cove, Jr. and his wife, Maryann; one sister, Peggy Laird; five grandchildren, Jennifer Higgins, Caroline Macomber, Lauren Cove, Brian Higgins and Erica Cove and two great grandchildren, Jillian Roach and Devin Macomber.

She was the sister of the late Louise Connair.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 10, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery.

Calling hours at the Britton-Summers Funeral Home, 4 Church St., Westborough, are Sunday, December 9, from 2 to 5 P.M.
