Bernard A. Manning, 94, of Westborough, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 8, 2026. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Helen M. (Mitchell) Manning.

Born in Manchester, NH, he was the son of the late William and Julia (Dominick) Manning.

He was raised and educated in Manchester and attended St. Anselm College, Syracuse University and Suffolk Law School.

During Peacetime he served with the United States Army.

He was a communicant of St. Anne’s Church in Southborough, a member of Disabled American Veterans, and a member of the National Bar Association.

He is survived by his three children: Colleen M. Dinovo and her husband Charles, of Westborough; Bernard A. Manning II and his wife Kathleen, of Lunenburg; and Peter J. Manning and his wife Jennifer, of Upton.

One of eight siblings, Bernard is also survived by his sister, Helen D’Amoure and her husband, Norman.

Bernard and Helen have seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A private funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Anne’s Church in Southborough. Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery, Westborough.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Sisters of the Precious Blood, 700 Bridge Street, Manchester NH 03107.
