Diane S. McElvery

Diane Irene (Schmitt) McElvery, 71, of Westborough, MA, died peacefully on Tuesday, August 18th, with her family by her side.  She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Jonathan S. McElvery.

She leaves behind a sister, Mimi Solaire of Phoenix, AZ, and a brother, David Schmitt and his wife Andrea, of Cornville, AZ.  She also leaves many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Diane was born and grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, and always called it home. She had lived in Massachusetts for over 46 years, the last 38 in Westborough.  She worked 39 years as an O.R. nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital, retiring in 2019.  She was an exceptional runner, enjoyed any activity outdoors such as running, cycling, hiking, walking, gardening.  Yoga played a big part of her life, and the past many years, Jazzercise.  She was very caring and compassionate, and lived a very healthy life. The Pittsburgh Steelers were always a part of her makeup.  She will be very missed.
