Diane M. (Hardiman) Sorensen

December 29, 1961 — June 11, 2025

WESTBOROUGH

Diane M. (Hardiman) Sorensen, 63, of Westborough, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.

Born in Framingham, she was a daughter of James Hardiman of Westborough and the late Rose (Cejmer) Hardiman, who passed away in February of this year. She moved to Westborough at a young age and was a lifelong resident.

Diane was employed as a patient care assistant for over 25 years in Worcester County. She was gifted in caring for those with complex medical conditions and those near the end-of-life. She was well-loved by many of her clients' families. Diane often went the extra mile for her clients. Her dedication for caring for others was truly remarkable.

Diane was a true New Englander. She could often be found loudly cheering for the Red Sox and the Patriots. Diane loved travelling to the beach, particularly York, ME, and Cape Cod. She was an avid music lover and sang along to the radio in the car. Diane also loved nature, particularly deer and birds. However, Diane's favorite activity was spending time with her beloved granddaughters.

Her friends and family will remember Diane as the first person to lend a hand and as an amazing cook. Her charisma, joy, and love will live on through those who loved her.

In addition to her father James, she is survived by her children, Meagan Weigold and her husband Kenton of Henrietta, NY, and Justin Sorensen and his partner Bunny Mclaren of Portland, OR; her cherished granddaughters, Harriet and Martha Diane; her siblings, Susan Walker and her husband Garret of Holden, Beth Delaney of Westborough, and Jeffrey Hardiman and his wife Cheryl of Uxbridge; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, June 21, from 10:00 A.M. to 11:45 A.M., followed by a brief service at the Pickering & Son Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main Street, Westborough, MA.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to the Audubon Society or the Westborough Food Pantry, P.O. Box 502, Westborough, MA 01581 or via westboroughfoodpantry.org.
