Doris H. Gebhart, 92, of Westborough, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the Beaumont Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Joseph F. Gebhart.
Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Aurora (Allard) Dufault. She was educated in St. Mary’s Parochial School and attended Marlborough Public Schools.
Doris was employed as a nurse’s aide at Sudbury Pines Nursing Home, as a cafeteria monitor in Marlborough Public Schools and in later years as a housekeeper at the Holiday Inn in Marlborough prior to her retirement.
She was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church and was a former member of the Westborough Senior Center where she delivered Meals On Wheels. She enjoyed gardening, yard work, crocheting and making afghans. Doris was also known for her famous chocolate chip cookies.
Doris is survived by two daughters, Ann M. Price of Medway and Susan J. Mohran of Marlborough, one grandson, Michael D. Price of Worcester; one brother, Robert Dufault and his wife, Josie, of Marlborough; two sisters, Jeanne Hawkesworth of Westborough and Estelle O’Connell of Hudson; a sister-in-law, Rita Raczynski of Worcester and many nieces and nephews in MA, CT and MN.
She was the sister of the late Anita Brodeur and sister-in-law of the late Mary Van Dan.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 27, at 10:00 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery, Southborough. There are no calling hours.
