Dorothy Finn, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in her home, at 86 years old, on May 2, 2025, after a period of declining health.
Born in South Boston, Massachusetts on May 29, 1938, Dorothy lived a life full of love, laughter, and deep devotion to her family and faith. At just 19, she married the love of her life, Frank Finn. Together they built a beautiful life and home in Westborough, Massachusetts, where they raised five children and created a legacy grounded in warmth, hard work, and shared joy.
Dorothy supported Frank in his successful business endeavors with FIBA Technologies INC. and remained a steadfast presence in the community as a longtime member of Saint Matthew Parish. Family was always her greatest pride. She was predeceased by her parents Herbert and Helen, husband Frank, infant son Joseph, sister Helen and her husband Bob, daughter Susan, and her grandson Alan, along with other loved ones who she now reunites with in peace.
Dorothy is survived by her children: Jack Finn and his wife Cathy of Berlin, MA; Maureen Leonard and her husband Steve of Berlin, MA; Frank Finn and his wife Erin of Sterling, MA; and Steve Finn and his wife Lori of Boylston, MA.
She leaves behind 15 cherished grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren who adored their "Nana”, along with many nieces and nephews. Dorothy's happiest moments were those spent surrounded by her family—celebrating holidays, laughing over shared meals, and relaxing during summer days at their vacation home on Lake Winnipesaukee. She loved weekend getaways with family and friends, was an expert restaurant critic among her circle, and someone who never missed an opportunity to celebrate life's joys.
Known for her impeccable style—always in heels, bright pink lipstick, and her signature long, dangly earrings—Dorothy brought elegance and spirit to every room she entered. Her kindness, humor, loyalty, and generosity touched countless lives.
Dorothy’s presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. We take comfort in knowing she is now reunited with the loved ones she held so dear.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 8, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Pickering & Son Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main Street, Westborough, MA.
Her funeral Mass of will be celebrated on Friday, May 9, at 10:00 A.M. at Saint Matthew's Parish, 105 Southville Road, Southborough, MA. Burial will follow at St. Luke’s Cemetery in Westborough.
