Elise M. Wagner, 60, of Westborough and a former longtime Northborough resident, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Norman Lovely and Claudette (Dupre) Alfego. She was raised and educated in Worcester and graduated from Burncoat High School. She went on to earn both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in special education from Fitchburg State University.

Elise enjoyed a busy social life and could often be found country line dancing or spending time outdoors in the sun. She loved hiking, spending time at the beach, going to the gym, and sharing her love for healthy food. Above all, she cherished time spent with her children, family, and friends. Elise was a devoted member of Grace Church in Hudson.

She is survived by her beloved children, Hannah and Matthew Wagner, both raised in Northborough; her cousin, Robin Jewell of Auburn; and her former husband and dear friend, James Wagner of Nashville, Tennessee.

She was predeceased by her father, Norman Lovely, her mother, Claudette (Dupre) Alfego, and her brothers, Peter and Paul Lovely.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 11 A.M in Grace Church, 353 River Road, Hudson. A collation and time of greeting will follow at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to Grace Church in Hudson.
