Frances G. Sellar

Frances G. Sellar, 95, of Westborough, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at home. She was the wife of the late Donald C. Sellar.

Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elinore (Kennedy) Kiley. She was educated in Worcester, graduated from North High School and attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

Fran was a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, the Westborough Women’s Club and the Wally Byam Caravan Club (an Airstream trailer travel club). She enjoyed numerous activities at the Willows Retirement Community.

Throughout her life she had a great love of traveling.  She and her husband Don took wonderful trips to Switzerland, Hawaii, Greece, and Germany.  They also traveled in their Airstream trailer throughout the United States.  Closer to home, she had a life-long love of Cape Cod which began as a child. She made annual trips to the Cape every year of her life.

She is survived by four children, James D. Sellar of Scottsdale, AZ, Gerald Sellar of New Orleans, LA, Nancy J. Cressy of Westborough and Katherine J. Lang of Edgewater, MD; two nephews, Stephen Witham of Bainbridge, NY and Thomas Witham of Meredith, NH; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Elinore Kiley and Kathleen Witham and a niece, Patricia Witham.

A private funeral service will be held in St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
