WESTBOROUGH

Frederick L. "Fred" Beissner, 94, formerly of Walpole, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 after a period of declining health. He was the husband of the late Mary E. (Ridge) Beissner.

Born in Boston, he was the only child of the late Frederick and Stella (Nichols) Beissner. Following graduation from Boston Technical High School, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where the education and skills he acquired launched his career in the telecommunications field.

Fred was passionate about Big Band and swing music, and he and Mary shared 50 years of marriage dancing their way throughout Boston and beyond. During retirement, they enjoyed some traveling, but his favorite place was always home where he shared his wisdom and sense of humor with his children and grandchildren.
