Geoffrey E. Wood

Geoffrey E. Wood, 83, of Westborough, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at UMass/Memorial Hospital in Worcester. He was the husband of Diana E. (Virta) Wood.

Born in Gardner, he was the son of the late Ralph and Irma (Waaranen) Wood. He was raised and educated in Gardner and was a 1960 graduate of Gardner High School.

Geoff worked a variety of jobs as a young man before settling on a career as a welder. In his spare time his passions were food, reading, crossword puzzles, and processing firewood.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children: Adrian R. Wood and his wife, Maria, of Manchester, CT and Elena M. Wood and her husband, Alex, of Westborough; one sister, Judy Allen and her husband, Wilber, of Oneida, NY and three grandchildren: Jenna, Evelyn and Julia.

His memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 11, at 11:00 A.M. in the Pickering & Son Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough.
