In Loving Memory of Guy B. Schultz
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Guy B. Schultz, a long time Upton resident, lovingly known as “Poppy,” who passed away peacefully at home in Upton on June 25, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born July 30, 1943, Guy lived a life rich in devotion, wisdom, and strength.
For 60 years, Guy shared an unwavering bond with his beloved wife, Kathleen (Roche) Schultz. Together, they embraced the joys of family, which included their sons Stephen and Christopher with wife Nicole, and daughter Heidi with husband Kenneth. Guy was a loving grandfather to Lexi and Erin, and cherished every moment spent with them.
Guy built a remarkable career as a plastics extrusion engineer at Pexco, where his innovations in medical products revolutionized the medical industry. His career showcased more than his technical skill, but also his dedication to improving the lives of others.
Guy found joy in the simple pleasures- tending to his meticulous gardens, flourishing with blueberries and vegetables, spending afternoons tinkering with his antique tractors, and his passion for cars. Guy’s hobbies reflected his nurturing soul. His humility and wisdom left a deep imprint on everyone who knew him.
Guy leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication that will always be remembered by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father, Conway Schultz, his mother, Dana Schultz, and his beloved grandson, Conor Schultz. The profound sense of love and strength that Guy embodied will remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him, forever reminding us to cherish each other as he cherished his family.
