Jenny Yuen-Tsun (Chi) Shih, 87, of Westborough, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026, at the Notre Dame Long Term Health Care Center in Worcester. She was the wife of Raymond C. Shih of 62 years.
She was born in British Hong Kong, daughter of the late Tsuan Chi M.D., and Huen Yuk Lo and was raised and educated in Hong Kong and graduated from Tunghai University in Taichung Taiwan.
Jenny was employed as Chief Librarian at Queensboro Public Library in Jamaica, NY, Temple University, PA, and Quinsigamond Community College (QCC) in Worcester where she retired from.
In her lifetime, Jenny was defined by her Family, Friends, Flowers, Food and Fun. She loved spending time with her friends and family, and the dinner table was always a place of laughter and love. She became an avid ballroom dancer after her retirement. She spent countless hours taking lessons at Fred Astaire dancing studio in Worcester and took pride in custom designing her own beautiful ballroom gowns. Jenny’s joyful spirit was evident to all who knew her.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two children, Linda Shih of Dracut and Clayton Shih of Quincy; one brother, Arthur Chi of Quincy; one sister, Elsa Karlsmark of Denmark.
She was predeceased by her brother, Charles Chi.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, June 28, from 1 to 3 P.M. at the Pickering & Son Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, with a prayer service at 3:00 P.M. Upon commencement of the prayer service a reception invitation will be extended to attendees.
Donations in her memory may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
