John E. Oberg, 66, of Boylston, formerly of Westborough, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at home.

Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late George Oberg and Sylvia (Anderson) Johnson. He was raised and educated in Westborough and was a 1977 graduate of Westborough High School. Following graduation he served with the U. S. Army.

John was employed as a self-employed contractor in the greater Westborough area and enjoyed all Boston sports.

He is survived by four children, Kristen Oberg and her fiancé, Blake Otey, of Hopkinton, Hanna Caulfield and her husband, Ben, of England, Haley Oberg of England and Dayna Oberg of England, two brothers, Carl Oberg and his wife, Page, of Sutton and Paul Oberg and his wife, Alicia, of Whitinsville, one sister, Dianne Braga and her husband, Al Mucci, of Uxbridge and two grandchildren, Clara and Lucy Caulfield.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, September 4, from 5 to 7 P.M. at the Pickering & Son Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough.
