Millard B. Berryman, Jr., 82, of Northborough, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016 at the UMass/Memorial Healthcare- University Hospital in Worcester. He was the husband of the late Catherine J. “Kit” (Dunay) Berryman.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, he was the son of the late Millard and Elizabeth (Thompson) Berryman. He was educated in Ashley, PA schools and was a graduate of Ashley High School, class of 1951 serving as class president. He also attended the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy.
During the Korean Conflict he served with the U. S. Army as a water purification engineer.
Millard worked as a sales manager for Cutter/Bayer for over 35 years. Following his retirement he started his own company, DAMAR Biological in Northborough, which he operated until two years ago.
He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Westborough, was on the Board of Directors for Assabet Valley Pastoral Counseling Center, a Shriner and member of Tigris Temple AF & AM in Syracuse, NY and affiliated with the United Brethren Lodge in Marlborough..
Millard is survived by two sons, David M. Berryman of Northborough and Mark R. Berryman and his wife, Jennifer, of Apalachin, NY; one sister, Harriet Skidmore of Pitman, NJ and three grandchildren, Rachel, Megan and Eric Berryman.
His funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 30, at 10:00 A.M. in the First United Methodist Church, 120 West Main St., Westborough. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in Howard Street Cemetery, Northborough.
Calling hours at the David A. Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Friday, January 29, from 4 to 8 P.M.
