Roberta C. Robinson, 87, of Northborough, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones in the comfort of her home. She passed on knowing what love truly was.

Roberta Cecilia Robinson was born on September 18, 1938, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She spent her school years in Los Angeles, California, and graduated in June 1956.

Before beginning her family, Roberta held several jobs and later married Norris Nathanson, with whom she shared three children: Monique, Cheryl, and Mitchell.

Roberta had a vibrant spirit and a deep love for dancing, shopping, and movies. She also enjoyed puzzles and playing games such as Scrabble, Rummikub, Canasta, and Mahjong. She was a devoted and inspiring mother who encouraged her children to strive for excellence in academics, athletics, and all of their pursuits—a value she shared alongside her husband, Norris.

She was preceded in death by her spouse, Norris Nathanson; her son, Mitchell Nathanson; John Daniele, Gabriella’s loving father; her parents, Benjamin and Frances Sisneros; her brother, Benjamin E. Sisneros; and her beloved partner in her later years, Horst A. Ehrhardt.

Roberta is survived by her loving family:

Monique Kawalek and her husband, Wayne Kawalek, along with her grandsons, Spencer Kawalek and Joshua Apple, of Cleveland, OH.

Cheryl Daniele and her granddaughter, Gabriella Daniele, of Northborough, MA.

She was a devoted sister to Veronica and David Almanza of Whittier, CA; Barbara and Richard Burton of Saulsbury, TN; and Sylvia Anderson of Sun City, AZ.

Roberta is also survived by her nephews, Alan Tokarse and his wife, Lisa, of CA, and Brian Tokarse and his wife, Sonya, of CA; and her nieces, Camille Gonzalez and her husband, Adil Sammassekou, of GA, and Rachelle Burton of MI.

Roberta will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and the lasting impact she had on all who knew and loved her.

The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the hospice team, including Mark, Katie, Mary, and Maggie; her Visiting Angel, Sue; and Nancy from the Northborough Senior Center for all of their extraordinary care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Roberta’s memory to the Northborough Senior Center, 119 Bearfoot Road, Northborough, MA 01532. Donations may be made by cash or check.
