Thomas Arthur Foster, Jr., 92, of Westborough, passed away March 3, 2021 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, MA.
Born in Kingston, Pennsylvania, Thomas is the son of the late Thomas Arthur Foster Sr. and Kathleen (Weigand) Foster. He attended Wilkes College, graduated from Hobart College (class of 1950) and attended University of Michigan. His career spanned over 40 years in the insurance industry with Crum & Forster and Utica Mutual Insurance companies.
Thomas loved classical music and throughout his life sang bass in various church choirs and in his younger days played trumpet in a swing band. Some of his happiest days were spent on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee in NH and as a boy at Harvey’s Lake in PA. He was a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Westborough. He lived previously in Poughkeepsie, New York; Newington, Connecticut; and Kingston, Pennsylvania.
He leaves his loving wife of 65 years Nancy (Fahringer) Foster of Westborough. In addition to his wife he is survived by two children, Rebecca Davis and her husband Claud of Southborough and Thomas Foster III and his wife Jacqueline of Chapin, South Carolina. He is also survived by five beloved grandchildren: Katherine Foster, Sarah Foster, Jennifer Davis, Matthew Davis and Thomas Davis. He was predeceased by a brother John Foster of Bloomsburg, PA.
A funeral service took place on March 6 at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Westborough and an inurnment memorial will be held this summer.
