Elaine T. Rissmiller

Elaine T. Rissmiller, 90, of Westborough, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the Coleman House in Northborough. She was the wife of Willard F. “Bill” Rissmiller for 68 years.

Born in Bushkill Township, PA, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna (Bill) Tombler. She was raised and educated in Easton, PA and graduated from Wilson High School. She also graduated from Lankenau School of Nursing in Philadelphia and earned a Master’s in Psychiatric Nursing at Anna Maria College.

Elaine worked at Westborough State Hospital, Worcester Pastoral Counseling Center and then for Assabet Pastoral Counseling Center prior to her retirement. She was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

In addition to her husband she is survived by three children, Carol O’Neill and her husband, Joe, of Warriors Mark, PA, Kent Rissmiller and his wife, Rachel, of Jefferson, MA and Kurt Rissmiller and his wife, Kathryn Welsh, of Westborough; grandchildren Jesse O’Neill and his wife, Meg, of Easton PA, Ben O’Neill and his wife, Joann, of Philadelphia PA, John Rissmiller and Kevin Rissmiller of Jefferson, MA; great grandchildren Finn and Callie O’Neill, of Easton PA; one sister, JoAnn Houser and her husband, Earl, of Easton, PA; one sister-in-law, Myra Rissmiller of Acworth, GA; 8 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother George Tombler; sisters Margaret Stocker, and Marilyn Deichman.

Her funeral service will be held on Friday, November 30 at 11:00 A.M. in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 183 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.

A period of visitation will be held from 9 to 10:45 A.M. at the church prior to the service.
