Jacquelyn Towne-Silverstein Obituary

Jacquelyn E. Towne-Silverstein, 87, of Grafton, formerly of Westborough, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 13, 2022 at home. She was the wife of the late Jerry L. Silverstein and John H. Towne.

Born in Uxbridge, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lily May (Gaudette) Marshall. She was raised and educated in Uxbridge and attended Hill College in Woonsocket.

Jacquelyn was employed as a bookkeeper for the Westborough Public Schools prior to her retirement.

She was an active member of St. Luke the Evangelist Church, where she served the parish as a Eucharistic Minister, taught CCD and was a founding member of The Women of St. Luke’s. She also volunteered as a Girl Scout Leader.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping on-line, travelling, especially to Indian Head, New Hampshire, Cape Cod and Maine.

Jackie is survived by three children, Patricia Darling and her husband, James, of Grafton, Deborah Olson and her husband, Kevin, of Douglas and Steven Towne and Pamela Luiz, of Taunton; her longtime companion, John Greene of Douglas; four grandchildren, Kristie Scott and her partner, Rob, Cheryl Olson and Scot Burns, Jacquelyn Moore and her husband, Kevin and Alex Towne and three great-grandchildren, Kaylah Brytowski, Hunter Moore and Jackson Moore.

She was predeceased by a brother, Carlton Marshall.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 18, at 11:00 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery.

Calling hours at the Pickering & Son Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Friday, June 17, from 5 to 7 P.M.
