Jean Keaveny Obituary

Jean Marie Keaveny age 69, died peacefully at the AD Assisted Living Hospice in Phoenix Arizona on Monday February 27, 2023. Born in Boston on November 14, 1953, Jean was raised in Brockton, MA and was a 1971 graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School. Jean went on to attend numerous college programs over the years after her high school graduation.

Jean lived in Cambridge, MA and ultimately relocated to Phoenix, Arizona where she spent her career working for the University of Phoenix and the Arizona Theater Company. Her passions were reading, writing, theatre and caring for her many four-legged companions over the years. Jean also volunteered her time as a teacher for various children’s Sunday School programs.

Jean was the daughter of the late Robert M. Keaveny and Rita M. Keaveny. She was the sister of the late Paul E. Keaveny and of Robert T. Keaveny.

She is survived by her brother Bob and wife Jane of Marshfield, MA., Her niece Caitlin Hill, her husband Brenton and their two boys Greyson and Harrison of South Boston, her nephew Connor Keaveny, his wife Christina and their two boys Connor and Riley of Hingham, Ma. and her first cousin Maureen Ferrer and her husband Fran of Shrewsbury, MA.

Aside from family Jean leaves behind many lifelong friends from Cardinal Spellman High School, her good friend Frank Gormley of Mashpee, Ma., many close friends in Arizona including Kenny Edwards, Chris Martinez, Deanna Van Engelhoven and in particular Joe Davenport who was Jean’s soul mate and companion for many years.

A private service will be held for Jean followed by burial at the family plot in St Luke’s Cemetery in Westborough, MA
