Joan C. O'Brien

Joan C. O’Brien, 90, of Westborough, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at home. She was the wife of Gerald P. O’Brien.

Born in Marlborough, she was the daughter of the late George and Alice (Clarke) Davis. She was raised and educated in Hudson and was a graduate of Hudson High School. She also attended the hairdressing program at Assabet.

Joan was employed as a hairdresser in Westborough prior to her retirement and she enjoyed reading and knitting.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Steven C. Cederlund and his wife, Jenna, of Oregon, Jody L. Norris and her husband, Stephen, of Englewood, FL and Robert J. Cederlund and his wife, Barbara, of Chester, MA; two brothers, Paul Davis and Jerry Davis of Hudson; one sister, Jean Peltier of Hudson; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her first husband, John Cederlund and by her brother, Phillip Davis.

The family would like to express their appreciation for Diane Sorensen for her compassion and care for Joan during her illness.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 1, at 11:00 A.M. in Pine Grove Cemetery, South St., Westborough. There are no calling hours.
