Joanne Park Obituary

Joanne L. Park, 75, of Upton, MA, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Thursday, May 4th, 2023.

She was born on Long Island, NY, to the late Evelyn and Robert Watts Sr.

Prior to her retirement, Joanne worked in Consumer Affairs as part of the UMass Memorial Health system.

She is survived by her significant other, Roger Nelson of Upton, MA, sister, Janet Leclair of Oakland, Maine and her brother, Robert Watts Jr. of Scarborough, Maine.

Joanne had a wonderful zest for life and loved exploring the world. From searching for those special treasures as she visited yard sales to traveling and experiencing new places with the love of her life, Roger, she found wonder and beauty wherever she went. She also loved fitness and enjoyed long walks, bike riding, snowshoeing, and hiking.

A celebration of life event will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances in her memory may be made to the individual’s favorite charity.
