Judith Colaianni Obituary

Judith A. Colaianni, 66, of Worcester, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at home.

Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late James and Marie (Gardella) Simpson. She was raised in Worcester and attended Our Lady of the Angels School and Holy Name Central Catholic High School.

Judy was employed as a waitress at the Webster House and then at the Post Office Pub prior to her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with family, crocheting, going to the beach, apple and pumpkin picking in the fall and recently discovered she had quite the green thumb.

Judith is survived by her loving companion, Brent Buckley of Worcester; three children Heather M. Jones and her husband, Jason, of Northampton, Heidi M. Lucier and her husband, Brian, of Warren and Steven P. Mercon and his wife, Melissa, of Warren; three brothers, James Simpson of Oregon, Robert Simpson and his wife Rachel of Virginia and Michael Simpson and his wife Maria of Worcester; two sisters, Mary Wood and her husband Jack of Auburn and Katherine Brierly and her husband David of Virginia; nine grandchildren, Matt, Brianna, Symantha, Alyson, Dylon, Amber, Joshua, Gianna, and Noah-Jamar; two great-grandchildren, Evan and Mia and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was predeceased by a grandson, Nathan Gervais.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 3, 2022 in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St., Worcester. (Masks required). Burial in Worcester County Memorial Park will be private.

Calling hours at the Pickering & Son Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Sunday, January 2, from 2 to 5 P.M.    (Masks recommended)

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Autism Resource Center of Central Ma.
