Patrick D. Macomber

Patrick (Pat) Donald Macomber, 73, of Westborough, MA passed away March 17, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family.  

Pat is survived by his wife, Suzanne (McMahon) Macomber to whom he was married for almost 50 years. Their children, Sean and his wife Anna of Taiwan, Christopher and his wife Kara of Westborough, Brendan and his wife Caroline of Shrewsbury. Pat was a loving and devoted grandpa to his 7 grandchildren- Devin, Patrick, Grant, Ethan, Oliver, Hayden and Mason. Pat is also survived by his siblings Donna (Macomber) Foster (Neil) of Connecticut, John Michael of Worcester, Donald Thomas (Robin) of Monson and Robert (Fay) of Westborough. Along with many nieces and nephews. Pat was predeceased by his father Donald and mother Mary (Fallon) Macomber.

Pat was born in Rhode Island and his family moved to Westborough when he was in elementary school. Pat was a Westborough High School graduate Class of 1968 and went on to attend the University of Massachusetts. He married his High School sweetheart Suzanne and they remained in Westborough to raise their family. Pat enjoyed being involved in the community especially being a part of his sons activities from coaching little league and basketball.  

Pat was always a hard worker and entrepreneur, beginning his career at a young age delivering newspapers. Pat took great pride in his career and work ethic, having started his own companies, Airgenics and Macomber Cryogenics. At the time of his retirement, he was vice president of operations at Airgas.  

Pat was known for his selfless acts, and would anything for his family, friends and community.  In his spare time, Pat enjoyed keeping busy with home repairs or building something new around the house. He loved gardening, listening to music, craftsmanship and had an incredible sweet tooth. He loved travel with his family, especially to Italy and Maine. Above all, Pat loved spending time with friends and beloved family.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 24, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial in St. Luke’s Cemetery will be held at a later date.

Calling hours at the Pickering & Son Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Wednesday from 4 to 7 P.M.
