Paul Dodos

Paul Dodos, 53, of Worcester, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023, at UMASS Memorial Medical Center after suffering a cardiac arrest experienced from complication associated with lung cancer.

Paul was born on February 14, 1970, to Nancy (Swan) Auger of Charlton and the late Spero “Skip” Dodos.  He graduated from Pine Ridge School in Williston, VT where he met his lifelong friends Walter and David.  He worked most of his career as a Dental Technician for his father at Ashland Dental Laboratories, spending his last several years working various jobs in the security, maintenance, and hotel industries. 

Paul will be remembered for his selfless care and love for others; it was normal practice for him to give his last dollar to a stranger, drop everything to drive hours or even cross-country to lend a hand on a project or to sit for hours with a friend or family member in the hospital to provide emotional support.  Paul made numerous acquaintances everywhere he went including local restaurants, sporting events, concerts, other states, and countries.  It was not unusual to hear “I know that person” wherever he went.

Paul lived life with zeal and was a music/video/techno enthusiast, avid gun owner, billiards player, sky diver and handyman.  He turned his ideas into reality: he ran the Boston Marathon without training, drove out west to set up for Burning Man Event and then skydived in at night, followed the band Phish around, and much more.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his two brothers: James Dodos of Westford and his wife Suzanne and their daughters Rachel and Katherine, and Michael Dodos of Charlton and his wife Karen and their daughters Kaitlyn and Emily. 

His funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 21, in the Pickering & Son Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main Street, Westborough.  Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery, Westborough.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 PM on Friday, October 20, in the funeral home.
